Why does it feel like a chore to talk to some people?
Feeling that is a chore to speak with people is a sign of introversion. Nothing wrong with that; Im an introvert too. Im going to go out on a limb and say that you are probably wrong. It wouldnt hurt you to investigate it, even if Im wrong.
