Have you taken the time to take care of the men in your life? This November join the Movemeber movement to help spread awareness about men’s health and have some fun whilst you’re at it.

Why Movember?

Most people know the month of November as “No Shave November” where men grow their facial hair for fun. Well, the Movember Foundation wants to make the most of this craze and help improve treatment for men’s health problems. Prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental illness and suicide in men is often overlooked. Since Movember started in 2004 it has massively raised awareness of these issues, with over a million people signing up in 2012, raising $95 million. By 2030, the Movember Foundation hopes to reduce the number of men dying prematurely each year by 25%.

Whether you are a man or a woman, here are some ideas for you to get involved in Movember.

Grow Your Mo

For the rest of the month of November, the Movember Foundation is considering your moustache as their “ribbon”. You can sign up online and begin growing your moustache today.

Take The Move Challenge

The Move Challenge is all about getting active! Whether you sign up and start training for a marathon or learn how to paddleboard, it doesn’t matter how you get active it just matters that you do! You can go big and complete a triathlon, be competitive and engage in a tournament, be outrageous and try some unusual form of exercise and challenge your friends to get moving.

Host An Event

You can become an administrator and host a Movember event for all the men and women participating in your community. Whether is be a golf tournament or a simple dinner party, make some noise about the issues facing men today.

Raising awareness about Men’s Health is the least we can do and joining the Movember movement can help save the fathers, husbands, brothers, sons and friends from dying too young. It’s not too late to start growing your moustache and raising money, but if you’d rather wait for next month, Decembeard is just around the corner, raising money for those affected by bowel cancer.

Doctify is working with leading Urologists and Psychologists to help focus on early detection of prostate and testicular cancer as well as mental health check ups. Book an appointment with Mr. Marc Laniado or Mr. Sudhansu Chitale for a urologist’s opinion and Mr. Joseph Poullis for a psychologist’s opinion.
